A. Maciel Printing has been family owned and operated since 1984, and we have always strived to utilize the most environmentally friendly methods and materials. Pioneers in the use of recycled and tree-free papers we print practically all of our jobs with high-performance soy based inks and we use low volatility solvents and water miscible press and roller wash.
Our advanced 4-color press, the Komori Spica 429P, is environmentally friendly in that it consumes less than half the electric energy compared to older presses of similar capabilities, and its automatic blanket and roller wash mechanism is a self-contained cassette that emits no harmful VOC’s.
We have discontinued the use of Aqueous Coating (AC) in favor of the environmentally sound Soy-based varnishes. The highly polluting AC is nothing more than a floor wax that's been formulated to run in printing presses.
We further promote the "Green Printing" concept by our competitive pricing structure. We put some "Green" back in your pocket!

The Spica 429P is the perfect press for 4 color process (CMYK) as well as spot colors of the highest quality. It is a highly automated, environmentally friendly, state of the art press which can print up to 20" x 29".
